TCTW is the place to be!
"To be YOUNG, GIFTED AND BLACK is a very special place for me, where I am free to be me" These kids are nailing this music. It is a blessing to not only hear them sing my music, but also watch as they 'get it' and begin finding their own personal connection to the music. Counting down the days to showtime!!!!! #TCTWRocks #gregwatkins #livingcomposerPosted by Gregory J. Watkins on Tuesday, July 21, 2015

How we Make a Meaningful Contribution to the World...
Through our philosophy that theatre is the ideal environment for education enhancement and cultivating necessary life skills for success, we provide the WDC area with high quality performing arts training for youth ages 9-15 via our multi-discipline summer performing arts camp located at Howard University.
Our programming also focuses on the cultural and social development of young people as they learn to work with equal parts - heart (compassion and service) and head (intellect and education). We emphasize building a strong foundation of craft, process, creativity, discovery, leadership and fun while not forsaking the value of performance.
The Children’s Theatre Workshop (TCTW) is rooted
in the belief that experiencing the unique attributes
of the performing arts (self expression, creative
exploration, discipline, problem solving & teamwork)
can have a profound effect on a child’s character
and personal development. TCTW strives to teach
transformational life skills through theatre arts.
Our goal is to cultivate and shape a child’s participation in their cultural and
social world through the performing arts. TCTW’s mission is to partner in developing young people who find power in their individual voice and the courage to be instruments for changing the world.
We teach tranformational life skills through theatre arts!
1. To introduce young people to and train them in the disciplines of the performing arts –singing, dance/movement, writing and acting.
2. To provide an opportunity for young people to explore cultural and social issues through the infrastructure of performance and creative exploration.
3. To make progress in the cultural and social development of young people as they learn to work with equal parts - heart (compassion and service) and head (intellect and education).
Motto –TCTW is the place… where creativity and courage go hand in hand!
TCTW is the place to be!
